PWA on iOS not prompting for install, but other platforms does - any idea why?
-
Hello all! I have a PWA that seems to work as expected on all platforms, including prompting the user to install it, and running in browser-less mode on all platforms but iOS.
I think that all I should have to do is visit my site a couple of times in order to get the prompt, right? Does iOS have tricks I’m missing? I developed in 1.14.x and while I do need to update to the latest, I don’t think that is my issue.
Any ideas? My phone does have the latest iOS and everything else in my app works on it, so far as I can tell. Since I just published, I’ll have friends/family test tomorrow to see if it is my phone/iOS combo since my phone is old-ish (iPhone 7). TBH, I haven’t tested on Android either, now that I think about it, so maybe it’s a mobile issue? PC and Mac for sure are working.
For those interested, the URL is mobile.gospeldoctrine.com
Thanks in advance.
