      Hello team;

      Came across this article regarding Tauri as an alternative to Electron to make smaller Desktop app. It is supported by Vue JS.

      This way our desktop can become much smaller.
      Hope this helps!

        Tauri actually started being developed as part of Quasar so we’re already well aware of it 🙂

        It was growing to be out of scope for Quasar so the developer doing the work moved it away.

          I see. Any chance it will be re evaluated for next major version?

              Interesting catch…

              The Tauri is in early development and its roadmap shows that a stable version is planned by Q1 2021. Probably it will be more like Q2 2022 considering circumstances. I think there is a little benefit for using not stable targets in Quasar as of now (with not clear and well defined developer base).

              Well, the project looks interesting, I hope the dev setups will be easier in time - for example for windows it looks daunting:

              The interesting parts in their roadmap are in the future - mobile bundler, python/nim/go bindings. Let’s give’em a chance to stand to their promises 🙂

              From what I read, there are no problems in using Quasar/Vue with Tauri in dev config, even now.
