App Extensions - one of the most ingenious and powerful of all Quasar concepts. I want to ask what is your vision about their role in the future Quasar architecture? They’re great and they’re powerful, yet they’re quite cryptic and there are not too many of them. Do you want to let devs create them more? As for now, IMHO there is a confidence gap between their docs, usage and “marketing”, so average developer could have a problems to just trust AE subsystem and learn it and create something with it. There’s no confidence, that it is a recemmended “Quasar way” of thinking.
Do you see them as a playground for wizards and when their toys mature, they should be incorporated into the Quasar core (icongenie) or rather as a system for Quasar openness and integration and also - very important - as a market (in business terms) for thousands of custom AE? If it is latter, maybe it would be a sign of confidence to just convert all existing quasar components into app extensions?

Vue 3 migration overview for Quasar users.

As a sub-topic: Vue 3 will provide a migration plug-in, provided one uses the Vue CLI. What is Quasar recommendation to migrate the code?

@dobbel : Adding to this request: A IOS QDate & QTime would be quite welcome in the IOS world. Whereas none of my users seem to care about the look & feel of a quasar app in IOS, they are however confused by the Android Date & Time picker

According to npm statistics today, bootstrap-vue has 257,360 weekly downloads and Vuetify has 290,901 weekly downloads, while Quasar has 27,944 weekly downloads (about 10%). What is your plan for increasing Quasar’s userbase so we will have a larger community (and thus, likely better community support)?

Since 1.+, I have seen the source maps multiplying for each component. By now, in 1.12 I only get in debug the transpiled sources, not my original ones. Is it due to webpack or does it originate in the quasar CLI? Will you offer an option to return to the single original source code map?

What is your opinion on Weex and NativeScript? Do you think Quasar would support native development one day, and if so, which native toolkit might you be most inclined to support?

For the next major release, is there plan to make the Video Player as a full scale Video player or will it remain as is?
                  Thanks!

What makes Quasar better than Ionic Vue?

Why should someone new choose Quasar over Ionic?

                          Hello @Sacrekin
Have you perhaps found a solution for the debugging transpiled sources issue? I am having the same behavior.

@all here. Unfortuntely, Razvan won’t be participating in the Quasar.Conf due to sickness. So, we won’t be doing the planned Q&A. Thank you still for your questions and participation in this thread. We hope you’ll still join us in the conference.

@dineshtrivedi No, even after ditching out babel using the --modern switch. To be quite honest, this is becoming aggravating.

@Sacrekin @dineshtrivedi - I believe you are having the same issue as here?

                                https://forum.quasar-framework.org/topic/6103/sourcemaps-not-generated-after-quasar-update-anymore

If not, please start a new thread or even an issue on GH.

This was for project general direction questions to Razvan and not for questions of possible bugs being fixed.

                                Thanks.

@neilhoff I have done a complete test with the key UI elements of my app. It came out very quickly that Vue is not strategic for Ionic. They are focusing on React & of course Angular. The current “beta” implementation is very buggy & does not even support v-model. Look at the update activity on github: nearly nil with most of the sources being 2 years old. To be avoided absolutely.

Just watched quasar.conf on yt - great job guys! It was very, very nice to see you, your working place and… your desktops 🙂 The topics were well balanced, hope that Natalia will do some amazing stuff with Quasar and yeah, definitely agree that PWA needs more documentation and reference app/recipes - quasar and PWA are the best! Special thanks to @s-molinari , one of the most awesome moderator I ever saw.

Can’t wait to see the next q.conf! Really appreciate your work!
