      Hi Guys,
I have posted 3 topics in the last few days but got no response from the Dev Team as well as the Community. Hmmm…

Q-Table not refreshing… Many people have had the same problem as I saw in the Community correspondence

Q-Tab-Panel with dynamic component not swipeable… no comment from the dev-team as well as community

Qcal - workweek has no event… maybe the solution is simple but not visible yet. But I have an idea! - no response from the Qcal-Team!

I’m y 59 years old developer starting with cobol over php to vue since years. My last years, I developed apps with vue , vuetify, bootstrap and query-mobile…

Now, my first project with Quasar has started very well but stopded on some problems - asking here the community and dev team but no response…

Quasar has a great functionality and I like it but if you have a problem you are alone. Vuetify hasn’t the functionality but the support is much better.

So for the future, there is no choice for the next project.

Sorry for my critical statement but I don’t want spend hours of hours to solve my problem alone when other people know the solution especially the dev team.

      Regards, H

@quasar_beginner when you write “support” do you mean a paid one or free one? I tend to think of “support” as paid one. The “help” is free, but of course I can be wrong. I can only talk for myself, but I saw your questions and thought that you just didn’t read the docs and worked with all those examples. Not sure, if I uderstand what really is the problem in this particular situation and whose obligation is not fulfilled. Anyway, yeah, Quasar is great. Keep coding!

I replied to your QTable question and my last question to you is still open. As for your other questions, it seems you answered them yourself. Or, it’s about an app extension and it is more an improvement request, then anything else. I’ve pinged Jeff there, so maybe he will answer. (He’s voluntarily working on QCalendar too).

In general, you won’t see the “dev team” here answering questions too often. At best, you’ll see the volunteers, like me or @metalsadman, who try to help. And, we only can help during or own free time, so there isn’t any SLA to answer within 24h or the like. To be honest, the attitude you seem to have about OSS and how it should be “supported” is out-of-place.

If you’d like more personal and timely support for the core software, and at the same time, support the continuation of the software, become a patron. You’ll have access to a support channel on Discord, which does get a bit more attention and replies are quicker.

          Scott

just a thought - I always believed that it is we, who has a duty to support the open source authors, help them, be kind to them and praise them - not the other way around! It is they, who give something for free, something most valuable in their life - their time. It is they, who create something instead just consume as most others. Just $0.02 here.

I have to add that I have often received great help in this forum from folks like @s-molinari or @metalsadman and others. It is often difficult to get into the deep details of a particular problem, given the broad range of functionality offered by Quasar and Vue. I’m really impressed how you folks often come up with the right answers or at least pointers to the right solutions. Keep going!

@quasar_beginner @s-molinari I am just seeing this, but your accusations are a bit unfair. As soon as I saw the no workweek events on QCalendar, this was added and announced immediately:

One more thing needs to be said about this. If you are a sponsor, you will get quicker and a higher degree of support. Otherwise, you should rely on community support and not expect Quasar Core or Staff members to drop everything to handle your issues. `Nuff said.
