      I received some feedback about my app on this forum that glossy appearance is dated.

      Why is glossy appearance good or bad in your opinion?

      Is there any alternative apart from glossy and solid colours?

        @walfin alternatives? This one’s cool (?):

        and there are countless more options:

        Good or bad? In which context? UX, UI, dev? IMHO glossy is unneccessary, and I do prefer the aesthetic where every element and its behaviour has a meaning (even visual) or purpose (even tiny). There are contexts, where “glossy” could be fine, but for me those are rare. My opinion only, which is easily changeable, depending on demands of my clients 🙂
