datatable - columnPicker - default hidden columns

Datatable property:
columnPicker: true,
from doc: “User will be able to choose which columns should be displayed”

How can I set initial list of hidden columns? I thought it would be dead simple (just another parameter in columns configuration - as filtered, sorted and … hidden), and hit the wall Please help…
