"// outside of a Vue file" - where?

Hi all,
I’m super new to Quasar but I love the number and design of the components included. So I’ll give it a try.
My first bump: when in docs is written “// outside of a Vue file” (for example: https://quasar-framework.org/components/dialog.html) where is that “outside” since there is no main.js ?

For instance, in this context, it is when you are using Quasar as a UMD. Or, where you are integrating Quasar into an existing product, etc.
